This gorgeous little island is truly the undiscovered pearl of the Andaman Sea with long white sandy beaches, clear blue sea, coral reefs, it’s the perfect place to really get away from it all. The two main bays are AOW YAI, the sunset bay, and AOW KHAO KWAI, the buffalo bay. Kho Phayam island has lots of good mini hikes into the hills, forests and jungle.

It is only 10km long and 5km wide with around 500 people. There are only small roads without cars – just motorcycles and bicycle for cruising around. Here, there are an habitat of monkeys, wild animals and a variety of birds (Hornbill and Sea Eagle).

On Aow Yai, there is Lazy Hut, a bungalow resort which is there since 7 years already. Lazy Hut offers 26 simple wood and thatch roof bungalows with lovely private open-air bathrooms set both on the beach and in the trees behind.
